One dog per person. For safety reasons, one person may not walk multiple dogs.

How do we get on site and where do we park?

a) To enter Camp Mabry, take Mopac and exit 35th Street going west. (Note: 45th Street entrance is closed)

b) Turn right on Pecos / Maintenance Dr.
 
c) At guard gate, you must show a valid driver's license or other ID for all persons over 18 in the vehicle.
 
d) Follow the neon yellow MTDW signs to the Parade Grounds

Staff will direct you to free parking. If you need accessible parking, tell the staff and they will direct you there.

How far is the walk?

1 mile. You can also do part of the walk or skip it and just enjoy the activities.

What is the surface of the walk route? Are there hills?

The surface is a rubberized running track on the grass of the Camp Mabry Parade Grounds. The route is flat.

Can we put our dog in a wagon or stroller?

What is the charge for children?

Kids in strollers are free. Otherwise, cost is the same as adults.

Is there an off leash/play area allowed at all on the grounds?

No. All dogs must be kept on leash at all times for everyone’s safety.

Is there first aid for dogs?

Accepted Answer

Yes, we have veterinary first aid on site, courtesy of All Creatures Mobile Clinic.

Is there water for dogs?

Accepted Answer

Yes, we have four water stops with water for people and dogs. We also have wading pools for the dogs.

Is there early packet pick up?

Accepted Answer

No. Extra staff at the registration tent plus improved technology makes getting on site go quickly!
